Dr. Chris Mattingly
Dr. Chris Mattingly has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics since 1991 in the communities of Louisville and Bardstown. After graduating from Ballard High School, Dr. Chris attended Centre College and was admitted to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry after completing two years of undergraduate work. Following completion of dental school he completed a two-year residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in 1991 at the University of Louisville, while simultaneously attaining a master's degree in oral biology. Dr. Chris completed his American Board of Orthodontic Diplomate certification in 2006.
Staying on the leading edge of orthodontics has always been a high priority for Dr. Chris and is evident by his participation in several study clubs, such as the 80’s Orthodontic Study Club and the University of Louisville Alumni Association. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association and the Kentucky Dental Association. He has served as the president of the Kentucky Association of Orthodontics and the Louisville Dental Society, as well as serving in leadership positions with the Southern Association of Orthodontists. He feels that giving back to the dental profession is an obligation, but his true passion lies in programs that help the less fortunate. Dr. Chris currently is on the advisory boards of Smile Ky! and Smiles Change Lives, programs which provide free dental and orthodontic treatment to needy children. He and Dr. Jo enjoy volunteering in the Nelson County Community Clinic, which provides free dental treatment to those who cannot afford it, and traveling to Guatemala with Hearts in Motion and Bellarmine University to deliver dental care. Dr. Chris is married to classmate Dr. Jo Mattingly, who is in the private practice of dentistry in Louisville, and they are blessed with two beautiful daughters: Jordan and McKenzie. He enjoys golfing, biking and reading in his spare time.
Dr. Chris Howell
Dr. Chris Howell graduated from The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1997. He completed a one year residency in advanced general dentistry in addition to receiving a Masters Degree in Oral Biology and finishing his two year residency in orthodontics in 2000. He is married to Dr. Laura Escher-Howell who is in private dental practice. They have four children; Ben, Jacob, Grant and Eva.
Dr. Howell is a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Association of Orthodontists, Louisville Dental Society and various dental and orthodontic study clubs. He is active in his church and many outdoor activities.
Dr. Hannah Oliver
Dr. Hannah Oliver was born and raised in Louisville, KY. After graduating from Pleasure Ridge Park High School, she attended Eastern Kentucky University for 3 years before being accepted to The University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Oliver graduated from dental school in 2008 with her DMD and MS in Oral Biology. Afterwards, she completed a 2 year orthodontic residency at the University of Louisville. Dr. Hannah Oliver is married to Dr. John Oliver, whom she met in dental school and is her best friend. Dr. John Oliver is a dentist in Bardstown, KY where he practices at Dr. Shrewsbury and Associates.
Dr. Oliver is a member of the Kentucky Association of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontics, the Louisville Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Oliver enjoys playing softball, basketball, flag football and sometimes golf. On summer weekends, she can be found skiing on Rough River Lake.
Dr. John Mattingly
Dr. Mattingly retired from active practice at the end of 2005. He established the practice in 1971 and has been the driving force behind the vision of this practice. His infectious smile was ever present and is the standard to which we strive daily. He has been married to Joyce Daniels Mattingly since 1961, and they welcomed their eldest son, Chris, into the practice in 1991. Their other son, Dan, owns a daycare in Paducah where he lives with his wife Holly and their three children.
Dr. Mattingly has served as President of the Louisville Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists among other civic, professional and religious groups. He has his certification from the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of both the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Mattingly is now the author of a book titled, "The Practitioner's Credo, 10 Keys to A Successfull Professional Practice", published March 2009.
