More adults are electing to undergo orthodontic treatment than ever before as the social stigma, which was once a hindrance, has been reduced dramatically by new developments. Adults often have several things occurring in conjunction with their orthodontic needs, which requires the inclusion of other disciplines within dentistry to properly manage the case. We will consult with your general dentist and when necessary make referrals to Oral Surgeons or Periodontists. All patients including adults need to realize the importance of long term retainer wear to ensure that the results are maintained.
