"My three oldest kids have had care at Mattingly and Howell! They are top notch in care, hospitality, and facilities!My oldest started and completed her care here with Invisalign. We are extremely pleased with how things went.My next kiddo began care else where (another state) before we moved here, and was told she would be in brace for four years straight, when we saw Dr. Mattingly he was really wanting to give her a break, because four years is a long time to be in braces, and that is exactly what happened. A year and a half after care started here (almost 2 years in braces) she was able to get her braces off, and give about a year break before she will continue with Invisalign (still to come).My third kiddo had a cross bite and needed some early intervention. We decided to do an expander followed by Invisalign for his first phase. We had some decisions to make at the end of his first phase and Dr. Howell provided us with his educated advice and let us make the decisions!My fourth kiddo is not old enough for orthodontic care yet, but when he does we will come here without hesitation! Such great care, kind people, and wonderful space!"

"This group has been SO great, that after completing the braces process with two of my children, I decided to go with them to straighten my own teeth! It was an intimidating idea to do this in my mid-40s, but everyone has been so friendly and I have felt super comfortable in their office. "I did Smile Doctors through Mattingly & Howell and it was super easy. My smile looks great and my teeth are straight! The staff made sure that my entire experience was hassle free and painless, from getting my initial scan to helping me track my invoices for my FSA. (Shout out to Raven!) Plus, orthodontia technology has advanced so much since I got braces back in grade school that was surprised with how easy and quick it was for them to scan my teeth. And they could monitor my progress at home so I didn't have to make monthly check-ins, like the old days. 10 out of 10 recommend!"

"My rating is 100 stars! I can't stop smiling! I'm 72yo & had never had braces. In my late 60's my top front teeth gradually began shifting over top of one another and were crooked. I began smiling with my mouth closed because I was embarrassed about my teeth. I believed I was too old for orthodontics and additionally, thought it was vain to spend the money for treatment at my age. Fortunately, I responded to an ad about discounts from Mattingly & Howell. I was warmly invited to come into the office for a consult. I'll omit the details of the consult for brevity, but Dr Howell developed a treatment plan for my teeth for Invisaligns. His plan was for 20 weeks and was affordable to my budget. I'm so happy with the results that I truly can't stop smiling! My family and friends are amazed by my results! Regarding my experience, every office person, from front desk staff, technicians, and Dr Howell, was exceptionally professional & kind. They were patient & thorough in instructing me on how to use the Invisaligns and ensured I practiced before I left the office. At each visit they were attentive to my comfort and understanding of what they were doing. It was an environment in which I felt relaxed and able to engage in friendly conversation with everyone. The office is well-organized and managed & I was always seen at my scheduled appointment time. The office environment is appealing, spacious, and clean. Parking is easy. "I went to Mattingly when I was younger and had an incredible experience. There was no hesitation when it was time to get braces for my son. His braces have been on for a very short time, but I’ve already seen so much progress with his teeth. Everyone there is a joy extremely and comforting to children who have never experienced having braces put on before. They are super easy to schedule with, and can get comfort visits for broken brackets taken care of quickly."

"There are no words to express how grateful I am for Dr. Mattingly. Honestly I had given up hope before I came to this office. After years and years of dental work, 2 previous rounds of braces as a child, Physical therapy for TMJ, mouth guards for sleeping, I was still in pain. Daily headaches and sleepless nights…even a broken tooth. I’ve seen multiple dentist that said surgery was my only route. I was referred to Dr. Mattingly by my new dentist after my other one retired and it might have been the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. I was told I’d need a miracle and that’s exactly what I was given. Treatment started June 2022, back then I had an open bite, I couldn’t bite through pizza or sandwiches, a piece of lettuce on a sandwich was enemy #1. I had two teeth that touched, the rest were a mess. Flash forward to today, I can eat ANYTHING (is this why I’ve gained weight?) no problem and a smile that I’ve only dreamed about. I should be the poster child for Invisalign. But, all jokes aside, this is the absolute best group of orthodontist and the office staff are so kind. I should add that being able to do scans at home were amazing, so nice not to have to take as much time off work as I was expecting. If you’re an adult and you were questioning getting braces again, please let this be your sign to go for it."

From there, I had an appointment today to get braces and the experience was the BEST! Cassie, the dental assistant was super sweet and really took care of me. "Dr. Mattingly and his team will forever hold a special place in my heart. They completed my first round of braces as a teenager for cosmetic/functional purposes. I returned years later after being diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. I had decided to undergo double jaw surgery with hopes of opening my airway and knew who I wanted to complete the orthodontic portion of this process. I was nervous about the journey ahead but confident about placing my trust in the hands of the Mattingly/Howell team. Dr Mattingly took the time to visit me in the hospital the evening my surgery was completed. I’ll never forget the excitement I felt to see a familiar face. This kind gesture truly represents his character. He cares about his patients as if they are family. "I finished my two years of braces in December 2011 and the results have been wonderful. I was a little nervous getting braces at first since I was 34 at the time but knew I wanted to get my under bite corrected and braces were recommended by my dentist. From my first consultation until the time I got my braces off, both Dr. Mattingly and Dr. Howell and the staff were nothing less than amazing. Each visit to the office I always received a warm welcome and they made the experience as pleasant as possible. I followed the doctor's orders about what not to each, about flossing, and keeping up with regular dental care. I had pictures taken before I got the braces on and when I got them off and I was amazed with the results. I wear my retainer every night and still have the same wonderful smile I did when I got my braces off (I have received lots of compliments on my smile). "I am very sad to say my experience with Drs Mattingly & Howell is coming to an end. My oldest child who is now 21 had braces through them and my youngest child just got his braces off today. The drs and staff that work there are always friendly and helpful and you can call on them anytime. When my youngest son had an ortho emergency, Dr. Howell came to the Stony Brook location from his Bardstown home on a Friday night and worked with him for well over an hour. I will never forget my experience with this office and will truly miss the drs and staff at this location."
"Mattingly & Howell Orthodontics Psc has provided orthodontic care for two of my four sons. I could not be more pleased with our experiences. My second son expects to have his braces removed in just a few months, and my third son just had his braces placed on his teeth. They took a terrified 6 year old and have worked with him throughout the last 9 years to ensure he had a positive experience at EVERY appointment.
